Thomas Jefferson's Montalto

Starting May 1st visitors to Monticello will have the opportunity to tour Montalto ("high mountain"), a parcel purchased by Jefferson in the 1770's which rests approximately 400 feet above Monticello providing visitors with even more spectacular scenery and breathtaking views of Charlottesville and the Blueridge mountains. The tours will be offered twice daily $12 for adults and $6 for children.
