Virginia Festival of the Book -- Book Festival in Charlottesville March 26 - 30, 2008
Virginia Festival of the Book
March 26 - 30
This post is for book lovers everywhere! Set aside a day or two or more in late March to indulge your reading habit, meet fellow bookaholics and rub elbows with famous authors.
You will need a peaceful place to stay and Sugar Hollow is just the spot on 70 scenic acres in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. In honor of the Festival at the Inn at Sugar Hollow Farm we are offering a special rate of 10% per-night discount for anyone staying 2 nights or more from March 26 through March 30.
This 16th annual book festival brings together writers and readers to celebrate reading, literacy and literary culture. The five days of mostly free literary events are open to the public.
Walter Mosley, Mike Farrell, Roger Mudd, Jan Karon, Adriana Trigiani, Homer Hickam and many others. Essayists, poets, novelists, mystery writers, business writers, political writers, science writers, historical writers, children's writers -- there are authors and topics of interest for everyone.

Interested in meeting the authors? You might enjoy the Authors Reception. This is one of the few ticketed events -- and well worth it!
