Cheese Pepper Bread


Cheese Pepper Bread

Makes 2 loaves
Preheat Oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease 2 loaf pans.

Ingredients:

3 3/4 cups flour
1/4 cup cornmeal
1 tbsp freshly ground pepper (key ingredient)
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
2 tsp sugar
1 tsp salt
1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese
4 eggs
2 cups buttermilk
2 sticks butter, melted

Preparation:

In a large bowl, mix flour, cornmeal, pepper, baking soda, baking powder, sugar, salt and cheese together and set aside.
In a separate bowl, combine the eggs and buttermilk.
Whisk the melted butter into the egg mixture.
Stir the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and pour into prepared pans.

Bake for 45 minutes at 350 degrees.
